Community Spirit

We are proud of our links with the community and actively encourage our staff and young Studio members to get involved and support different events.

Gary Richardson - Is delighted to be able to help with fundraising for the Butterwick Hospice, in particular with their 'Dance Inferno Weekend' held at Stockton-on-Tees.

Wear Valley Schools - Richardson's Dance Studio actively support 'Dance for Fitness' that is promoted within Schools in the Wear Valley and Teesdale Areas. Sue Richardson has taught Dance and Cheerleading at many of the Primary and Secondary Schools as well as taking display teams along to the Wear Valley and Teesdale Schools Dance Festival held every year.

Team Spirit - The Studio display team were delighted to take part in the Mayor of Sedgefield's 'Charity Dance Entertainment Evening' to raise funds for the Great North East Air Ambulance and South Cleveland Heart Fund.

Dancecity - Team Spirit and Junior Spirit display teams were thrilled to be invited to be part of the week long celebrations of the opening of 'Dancecity' in Newcastle, as well as taking part in the annual 'Shine' shows which showcases the many dance talents from around the North East Region.

Dance Clothes for Cuba - On a recent visit to Cuba one of our Students met a number of children who were learning to sing and dance. Unfortunately they had few facilities, dance shoes or clothes. We appealed in the Studio for any unwanted dance clothes or shoes, and were delighted with the response. How nice to put a very big smile on those children's faces!
